Mark and I are very lucky. We’re connected by family to the magical town of Lindos, a profoundly charming, beautiful, and historical place. It’s a mashup of traditional and cosmopolitan life where transportation within is done by donkey or on foot. Mark’s father was born here, and Mark grew up in both Greece and New York City. We’ve been coming to Lindos since 1991—first as a couple, then with friends, later as a family, and now with our dog Jagger.

Lindos has practically everything we could want; sparkling turquoise seas, sunshine EVERY DAY, amazing fresh vegetables, visitors from all over the world, and its very own Acropolis! The only missing ingredient was a place in town to buy and enjoy interesting wines (+spirits) from Greece and beyond.

Both of us were at a point where a life change felt right. Our love of wine and connection to Lindos inspired us to open Kava Kantina. The initial mission was to create a serene, picturesque, and inviting atmosphere where people could buy wine and gather to drink. It’s an adventure that has been evolving every day. Since opening, we’ve added an art gallery, cocktail menu, small bites, and more seating … sometimes on the cushions on the front stoop!

With a welcoming embrace from both locals and travelers, we’re embarking on our dream and hope you will enjoy it too!
